Low depth, low power carry lookahead adders using threshold logic
This paper describes a low power threshold logic-gate based on a capacitive input, charge recycling differential sense amplifier latch. The gate is shown to have low power dissipation and high operating speed, as well as robustness under process, temperature and supply voltage variations. This is followed by the main result, which is the development of a novel, low depth, carry lookahead additi...
متن کاملA Family of Low Depth, Threshold Logic, Carry Lookahead Adders
The main result of this paper is the development of a low depth carry lookahead addition technique based on threshold logic. The adders designed using this method are shown to have a very low logic depth and therefore reduced area and improved speed over conventional logic implementations.
متن کاملLow depth carry lookahead addition using charge recycling threshold logic
The main result of this paper is the development of a low depth cany lookahead addition technique based on threshold logic. Two such adders are designed using the recently proposed charge recycling threshold logic gate. The adders are shown to have a very low logic depth, and significantly reduced area and power dissipation compared to other dynamic CMOS implementations.
متن کاملHigh Speed Multioutput 128bit Carry- Lookahead Adders Using Domino Logic
Addition is the fundamental operation for any VLSI processors or digital signal processing. In this paper focuses on carry -look ahead adders have done research on the design of high-speed, low-area, or low-power adders. Here domino logic is used for implementation and simulation of 128 bit Carrylook ahead adder based HSPICE Tool. In adder circuits propagation delay is the main drawback. To ove...
متن کاملUsing carry-save adders in low-power multiplier blocks
For a simple multiplier block FIR filter design, we compare the effects on power consumption of using direct versus transposed direct forms, tree versus linear structures and carry-save (CS) versus carry-ripple (CR) adders (for which multiplier block algorithms have been designed). We find that tree structures offer power savings, as expected, as does transposition in general but not always. Se...
